Reading Room & Research Access

Our reading room serves researchers, educators, and community members who want to use our collections. You'll need an appointment so we can prepare materials and observe cultural protocols.

Monday - Friday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST
Weekend and evening appointments available for community groups

Accessibility: Our facility is fully wheelchair accessible with accessible parking available. Please contact us in advance if you require specific accommodations.

Public Transit: Located near the Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain station (Canada Line). Bus routes 6 and 84 stop within two blocks of our location.

Teacher professional development workshop on Indigenous curriculum

Teacher Professional Development

Monthly workshops for K-12 educators on respectfully integrating Coast Salish content into the provincial curriculum. Includes hands-on activities, primary sources, and cultural protocol training.

University students participating in Coast Salish cultural education program

Post-Secondary Partnerships

Collaborative programs with universities and colleges throughout British Columbia, providing students with authentic learning experiences and research opportunities in Indigenous studies, anthropology, and education.

Community education program with Coast Salish elders sharing knowledge

Community Education

Public programs including lectures, workshops, and cultural events designed to increase understanding of Coast Salish heritage among all community members. Programs are developed in partnership with Indigenous communities.
